Buying a fixed-width two post lift means committing to one bay layout forever. Set the columns wide and you lose walking room on both sides. The Daytona LTPA12 solves that with three adjustable width settings. Overall width runs from 150.3" to 162.1" and drive-thru clearance from 107.0" to 118.8", set at installation and changeable later if the bay changes. Underneath it is a proper 12,000 lb lift on dual direct drive hydraulic cylinders with cable equalization, so there is no chain in the load path to stretch or tension.
Safety is handled by automatic safety locks with single-point release and an overhead height limit switch, with full-length rubber door guards on both columns. Three-stage front arms reach 32.3" to 63.8", truck adapters ship standard, and it runs on 240V single phase at 3 HP and 13 amps. The lift stands 141.7" overall, so plan on a 12'-3" ceiling.

What does adjustable width actually mean here?
The overhead beam and base allow three column spacings rather than one fixed position. Narrow gives 107.0" of drive-thru clearance with a 150.3" overall footprint, wide gives 118.8" with a 162.1" footprint, and there is a middle setting between them. You choose at installation based on your bay, and it can be changed later if the shop layout changes. Fixed-width lifts make that decision permanent.
Which setting should I use?
Narrow if the bay is tight and you want walking room around the vehicle, wide if dual rear wheel trucks and full-size vans are regular work. Most general repair shops land in the middle. Call us with your bay width and the widest vehicle you service and we will tell you which one to spec.
How much ceiling height do I need?
The lift stands 141.7" to the top of the overhead bar, so plan on a 12'-3" ceiling measured to the lowest obstruction, not the peak. If your bay is under 12 feet, the LTPF12 floorplate lift gives you the same 12,000 lb capacity at 114.0" tall. If you have more height and service tall vans, the optional LTPA12-EXT kit adds two feet.
How does this compare to the BR10-2OH-33?
Both are adjustable-width direct drive overhead lifts with cable equalization, and they are close cousins. The BR10-2OH-33 is 10,000 lbs and ALI Certified, which matters if a fleet contract, insurer, or inspection program requires it. The LTPA12 trades that certification for 2,000 lbs more capacity and slightly longer arms. If certification is on your checklist, take the BR10. If raw capacity is, take this one.
What concrete does it need?
Plan on a minimum of 8" of concrete at 3,000 PSI compressive strength, cured, level within 3/8" across the installation area, with no anchor placed within 6" of a crack, edge, or expansion joint. If your slab does not qualify, a pad can be poured to accommodate the lift. Check with your local building inspector about permits before installation. Verifying concrete is the customer's responsibility, and installing on an inadequate slab is genuinely dangerous.
Do I need three phase power?
No. 240V single phase, 3 HP, 13 amps, 60Hz on a dedicated circuit. Have a licensed electrician confirm the circuit and breaker sizing before the installer arrives.
How does delivery work?
The LTPA12 ships as freight in two pieces: the lift at 138" x 22" x 41" and 2,400 lbs, and the power unit at 31" x 11" x 12" and 60 lbs. What is the warranty?
