How much ceiling height do I really need?
This is the question to settle before anything else. With the included height extension kit fitted, the LTPO15 stands 176.8" to the top of the overhead bar, so plan on a 15'-3" ceiling measured to the lowest obstruction, not the peak. Daytona's blueprint records a 157" standard height without the kit, so the kit accounts for 19.8" of that. Without it the ceiling requirement would come down to roughly 13'-6", but the kit ships as part of this lift and is used in assembly. If your bay cannot take the full 176.8", call us before you order.
Do I actually need 15,000 lbs?
If your heaviest regular vehicle is a one-ton single-rear-wheel pickup, no. A 10,000 lb lift like the Daytona BR10-2OH-33 covers that comfortably, costs less, and needs three feet less ceiling. You want the LTPO15 when dual rear wheel trucks, box trucks, shuttle buses, ambulances, or loaded service bodies are regular work, or when a fleet contract specifies a 15,000 lb rating.
Is the height extension kit really included?
Yes. On the rest of Daytona's two post overhead range the kit is a separate purchase running a few hundred dollars. On the LTPO15 it ships in its own crate with the lift at no extra charge, and the dimensions on this page reflect it fitted.
How is this different from the BR10-2OH-33?
Capacity, reach, and footprint. The BR10-2OH-33 is 10,000 lbs, ALI certified, adjusts across three width settings, and stands 144.2". The LTPO15 is 15,000 lbs with three-stage arms front and rear reaching 70.8", a fixed 163.0" floor width, and 176.8" of height with its kit. The BR10 is the certified general repair lift. The LTPO15 is the heavy commercial one. If ALI certification is a contract requirement for you, that points to the BR10.
What concrete does it need?
Plan on a minimum of 8" of concrete at 3,000 PSI compressive strength, cured, level within 3/8" across the installation area, with no anchor placed within 6" of a crack, edge, or expansion joint. Eight inches is deeper than many residential garage slabs, which are commonly poured at 4", so measure before you order rather than after the freight arrives. If your slab does not meet that, a pad can be poured to accommodate the lift. Check with your local building inspector about permits before installation. Verifying concrete is the customer's responsibility, and installing on an inadequate slab is genuinely dangerous.
Do I need three phase power for a 15,000 lb lift?
No, and that is worth noting at this capacity. The LTPO15 runs on 240V single phase, 3 HP, 13 amps, 60Hz on a dedicated circuit. No rotary phase converter and no utility upgrade. Have a licensed electrician confirm the circuit and breaker sizing before the installer arrives.
How does delivery work?
The LTPO15 ships as freight in three pieces: the lift at 155" x 25" x 40" and 2,700 lbs, the power unit at 31" x 11" x 12" and 60 lbs, and the height kit at 26" x 12" x 18" and 200 lbs. Curbside freight delivery and warehouse pickup are both available. A lift specialist can quote the options for your ZIP and tell you what equipment you will want on site, because a 155" crate at 2,700 lbs is not a two-person unload.
What is the warranty?
