Why is a 12,000 lb jack right for a 24,000 lb lift?
Because a rolling jack lifts one axle, not the whole vehicle. Half the rack's rated capacity is the correct match, and it means the jack is not the weak link when a loaded medium duty chassis is on the runways.
What air supply does it need?
Ordinary shop air. There is no electrical connection at all, which is part of why a rolling jack is easy to add to an existing rack. If your bay has a compressor and a drop near the lift, you have what it needs.
Can I add it to a rack I already own?
