Built to Just Work: AMGO BP-12 12,000 lb 2-Post Base-Plate Lift

Buying a lift can feel risky when you’re juggling ceiling height, slab requirements, and whether the arms will actually reach your vehicles. The AMGO BP-12 takes that stress off your plate by pairing a true 12,000 lb capacity with extra-long 3-stage arms that grab everything from sedans to ¾-ton pickups with confidence. With a low 4.5 inch pad height, you won’t fight to get under lower vehicles, and the open-top floorplate design keeps the bay clear for tall roofs and open doors. Two install widths let you fit the posts to your shop, not the other way around. If you’ve been searching for a dependable 2 Post Lift that just works, this one’s designed to make setup and daily use simple. 12K baseplate options are even rarer than 10K because most manufacturers won't engineer the structural load path for 12K through floor-routed cables. AMGO's BP-12 is one of the few that does it cleanly with a heavier-spec hydraulic and structural design.

Shops choose the BP-12 because it blends muscle with efficiency. Lift time is about 65 seconds, so you’re in the air quickly without stressing the hydraulic system. You’ll get 72.5 to 73 7/8 inches of pad height with standard pads, or up to 81 9/16 to 82 7/8 inches with the included 3 inch and 6 inch extensions. Drive-thru clearance adjusts to roughly 104 7/16 to 109 13/16 inches depending on which width you pick, so big trucks aren’t squeezing through a bottleneck. The single-point lock release lets you drop from both columns on one side, speeding up workflows during busy days. It’s a professional, commercial vehicle lift that still fits a lot of home shops with 10.2 foot ceilings or higher. Width options of 145-3/8 or 150-3/4 inches let you size the bay layout to your fleet, with drive-thru clearance from 104-7/16 to 109-13/16 inches. The 5" concrete requirement is heavier than baseplate norms but appropriate for the 12K rating.

Durability is baked in, not bolted on. Chain-drive cylinders with UHMW sliders and bronze bushings handle daily cycles smoothly and stand up to wear. Synchronized Aero cables keep columns in step, and automatic arm restraints lock in position once you start lifting. Anchors, pads, saddle adapters, 3 inch and 6 inch stackable extensions, toe guards, and tool trays are all in the box, so you aren’t piecing together a kit after delivery. AMGO backs it with a 5-year steel, 3-year hydraulic, and 2-year electrical warranty, which is exactly what you want on a 12000 lb 2 post lift built for real shop work. Whether you call it a 2 post car lift or simply your next revenue driver, the BP-12 is ready for the grind. For shops handling crew cabs, lifted SUVs, and light commercial vehicles in a residential or low-ceiling commercial bay, the BP-12 fills a niche most other manufacturers don't address.

Benefits of the AMGO BP-12 Two Post Lift

Maximize vehicle coverage
12,000 lb capacity at baseplate height covers crew cabs, lifted trucks, and most light commercial vehicles. No need to commit to a 13-foot ceiling for an overhead lift.
Faster bay throughput
Two width options let you size the lift to your fleet's drive-thru needs. Single-point release cuts cycle time in busy commercial bays.
Fit more shops
Baseplate design fits residential and low-ceiling commercial bays where overhead 12K lifts won't install. 122.5" overall height works in most existing bay layouts.
Work around tall roofs
Width options of 145-3/8" or 150-3/4" handle wide-body vehicles like dually pickups and crew cabs. Drive-thru up to 109-13/16" for the widest fleet vehicles.
Safer daily lifting
Heavier-duty structural rating at 12K means the lift handles full-capacity loads with appropriate margin. Mechanical locks engage at multiple positions.
Lower ownership costs
Direct-drive hydraulics and sealed lubrication reduce the maintenance schedule that lighter-duty 12K lifts require. Years of cycling with minimal upkeep.

Key Features of the AMGO BP-12 2-Post Lift You'll Love:

Extra-Long 3-Stage Arms: These arms extend and retract to reach a wide mix of wheelbases without awkward spotting. The three-stage design gives you more front-to-rear reach to hit proper lift points on sedans, SUVs, and ¾-ton trucks. In practice, that means fewer re-spots, faster setups, and safer, more stable lifts with less hassle throughout the day.

Two Install Widths for Flexible Bay Fit: Choose 118 1/8 or 123 1/2 inches between posts to match your space and vehicles. The adjustable drive-thru clearance, roughly 104 7/16 to 109 13/16 inches, helps larger trucks enter comfortably. You’ll optimize door swing and arm reach while keeping traffic flowing through your shop.

Dual-Safety, Heavy-Duty Construction: Synchronized Aero cables keep columns balanced, while chain-drive cylinders with UHMW sliders and bronze bushings deliver smooth motion. The structure is engineered for a true 12,000 lb rating, not just marketing copy. It’s built to handle daily commercial cycles as a reliable commercial vehicle lift.

Complete Kit with Adapters and Hardware: Pads, saddle adapters, 3 inch and 6 inch extensions, anchors, toe guards, tool trays, and protective covers are included. You won’t chase extra parts or wait on add-ons to finish your install. That means faster commissioning and fewer hidden costs after delivery.
