AMGO Commercial 12,000 lb 2-Post Lift | OH-12
The AMGO OH-12 2 Post Lift: Built for Commercial Power and Everyday Reliability
Buying a lift can feel risky when you’re worried about ceiling height, door swing, and whether the arms will actually reach your lift points. If you run a busy shop, you also need predictable safety locks, real under-car clearance for trucks and vans, and a clear floor that keeps jacks and creepers moving. The AMGO OH-12 solves those pain points with a 12,000 lb capacity, dual direct-drive hydraulics, and an overhead limit switch that protects taller vehicles. Three selectable overall heights. 174 in, 186 in, or 198 in. Make it easier to match buildings with 14.5 to 16.5 ft ceilings. With a quick rise time of about 69 seconds and a minimum pad height of 4 1/2 in, it’s built for real-world bays that see everything from low cars to commercial pickups. Commercial 12K lifts at this capacity tier typically cost 30-50% more for the same structural rating because of the engineering required to handle commercial-vehicle service cycles. AMGO's OH-12 brings commercial-tier capability into a price band independent shops can actually afford.
This model gives you space where it counts. Maximum lifting height is roughly 72 1/2 to 73 7/8 in on pads only, or about 81 9/16 to 82 7/8 in with adapters, which means comfortable standing room for most techs. A wide 150 3/4 in overall width with 123 1/2 in between columns creates a roomy work area, and the 109 3/4 in drive-thru clearance helps keep traffic moving. Four 3-stage arms reach short wheelbase cars and longer trucks without awkward repositioning. The result is a consistent workflow, fewer re-spots, and less time lost to setup. Three factory column-height settings (174", 186", 198") cover bay ceilings from standard commercial to high-bay industrial. The 5" / 3,500 PSI concrete requirement reflects the heavier-duty structural rating compared to consumer-grade 12K lifts.
You also get pro-grade touches that cut maintenance and protect uptime. The OH-12’s single-point safety lock release lets you unlock both columns from one side. Self-lubricating UHMW sliders and bronze bushings keep motion smooth and service intervals simple. Standard hardware includes heavy-duty round pads, saddle adapters, plus 3 in and 6 in extensions, so you can set height quickly for SUVs, trucks, or commercial vans. If you’re searching for a dependable 2 Post Lift, the AMGO OH-12 is a smart, future-proof pick for commercial bays that need a true 2 Post Lift with commercial capacity. For commercial shops handling crew cabs, work vans, fleet trucks, and other 12K-capable vehicles, the OH-12 is sized for the daily commercial cycling that most consumer-tier 12K lifts can't sustain.

Benefits of the AMGO OH-12 Two Post Lift
Key Features of the AMGO OH-12 2-Post Lift You'll Love:
• Direct-drive dual hydraulic cylinders (no chains): Direct-drive delivers smooth lifting without the chain maintenance that slows shops down. Fewer wear points mean fewer adjustments and less downtime across busy weeks. You get consistent performance that helps techs trust the lift at every stop height.
• Four 3-stage arms for real coverage: All four arms telescope through three stages to handle compact cars, full-size SUVs, and commercial pickups. This range lets you choose symmetric or asymmetric approaches as your jobs demand. Result: fewer re-spots and faster bay turns on mixed fleets.
• Three selectable column heights with overhead safety shut-off: Pick 174 in, 186 in, or 198 in overall height to match 14.5 to 16.5 ft ceilings. The overhead bar integrates a limit switch that protects tall roofs and roof racks from accidental contact. You get flexibility during install and peace of mind during daily use.
• Single-point lock release with automatic arm restraints: Unlock both columns from one side to speed transitions between lock positions. Automatic arm restraints engage during lift to help keep arms locked where you set them. Together, they support predictable safety and reduce unintended arm drift.

Minimum Garage Requirements
✔ Ceiling Height: At least 180" (15'0") recommended ✔ Footprint: 109" drive-thru x 150" overall (9'1" x 12'6") ✔ Concrete Thickness: Minimum 5" (127.0 mm) ✔ Concrete Strength: Minimum 3,500 PSI compressive ✔ Electrical: 2.0 HP hydraulic power unit ✔ Overall Lift Height: 174" (14'6") (measure before ordering)

*Concrete must meet the manufacturer's minimum requirements as specified above. Installing this lift on inadequate concrete may result in serious injury or death. It is the customer's responsibility to verify concrete thickness and strength prior to purchase and installation. Stacking taller vehicles vertically may require additional ceiling height. Measure your specific vehicles before ordering. Note: 2-post overhead lifts inherently require tall ceilings. Verify your overhead clearance before ordering.

AMGO OH-12 Frequently Asked Questions
What vehicles is the OH-12 built for?
Commercial truck work: a 12,000 lb 2 post lift for 3/4-ton and 1-ton pickups, work vans, and boxed service bodies. The 109 3/4" drive-thru and 123 1/2" between columns take wide duallys, and adapters push pad height to 82 7/8" for tall-frame trucks.
How much ceiling height do I need?
The columns install at 174", 186", or 198" -- plan on 180" (15'0") minimum. That triple height setting is the point: set it tall for vans and lifted trucks. Lower bay? The OH-12S installs from 143-1/8" (12'5" ceilings), and the floor-plate BP-12 fits under 11 feet.
OH-12 or OH-12S -- which 12K is right?
Same 12,000 lb capacity. This OH-12 is the tall-bay version (174"-198" settings) for shops lifting tall vehicles high. The OH-12S covers standard commercial bays with settings from 143-1/8" to 167-1/8".
What accessories does it take?
AMGO lists the 21501 base extension kit for this lift, and stackable pad adapters are included for frame-height flexibility.
Do I need to bolt it to the floor?
Yes -- every 2-post must be anchored. The OH-12 calls for concrete at least 5" thick at 3,500 PSI compressive strength -- note the heavier slab spec at this capacity. Verify your slab before ordering.
Should I get a 2-post or a 4-post lift?
Two-posts like this one are built for repair work -- wheels hang free for brakes, suspension, and tires. For heavy trucks that mostly need wheels-supported underbody access, a 4-post can be the better call. Our 2-Post vs 4-Post guide walks through the decision.
Is the AMGO OH-12 worth it?
Triple-height installation flexibility at a true 12,000 lb rating, backed by 5-year structure / 3-year hydraulics / 2-year electrical coverage. Need more? The OH-15 shares this frame at 15,000 lbs. See the Reviews tab above for buyer feedback.
