Wheels Free Without Leaving the Rack: the Daytona RAJ8 8,000 lb Rolling Bridge Jack

An alignment rack holds a vehicle by its own wheels. That is exactly right for setting toe and camber, and exactly wrong the moment the job turns into a rotor, a bearing, or a tire. Without a rolling jack the car comes off the rack and the bay stops earning.

The Daytona RAJ8 is the jack Daytona builds for the LFPA12 and LFPA14. It rolls along the runways, spans the gap, and lifts 8,000 lbs clear of the deck so an axle comes free while the rack stays put. The frame adjusts 35.4" to 63.0" to match the jack rails on both lifts.

It is air powered, so there is no electrical hookup, and a mechanical safety lock engages at the 19.75" working height. Collapsed it sits at 8", low enough to roll under a vehicle already on the runways. Adjustable rubber contact pads protect the underbody and add 2-3/4" of reach when a frame rail sits high.

Most alignment shops buy two. One jack does one axle. If you regularly need both ends free, order a pair with the rack so they arrive together. Call a Pitstop Pro lift specialist to spec it. Browse every rolling bridge jack, see all alignment lifts, or view the full Daytona lineup.

Benefits of the Daytona RAJ8

Turns an alignment rack into a service bay
Brakes, bearings, tires, and suspension all become possible without taking the vehicle off the lift. That is the difference between selling one job and selling three.
Matched to the 12k and 14k racks
8,000 lbs is the right jack for a rack rated 12,000 or 14,000, because a rolling jack lifts one axle rather than the whole vehicle. The frame range matches those runways exactly.
Air powered, nothing to wire
Runs off shop air. No electrical hookup, no dedicated circuit, and no cord trailing across a bay that already has a vehicle in it.
Mechanical lock at working height
The safety lock engages at 19.75" so the load rests on steel rather than air pressure while a technician has their hands in a wheel well.
Adjustable rubber pads
Contact pads protect the underbody and give 2-3/4" of extra reach, which is what lets you find a proper lift point rather than settling for whatever the saddle touches first.

Key Features of the Daytona RAJ8

8,000 lb capacity: A reinforced scissor mechanism raising evenly on both sides, sized for trucks and SUVs on a 12,000 or 14,000 lb alignment rack.

Adjustable frame, 35.4" to 63.0": Sets to your runway spacing rather than dictating it, and covers both the LFPA12 and the LFPA14.

8" collapsed, 19.75" on the lock: The stamped drawing gives a saddle travel of 7.9" to 20.5", extending to 10.6" to 23.2" with the pad adapters fitted.

Air operation: Pneumatic, with no electrical connection required. Any normal shop compressor runs it.

Base adjusts 40.6" to 45.3": The rolling frame extends to suit the runway rails, and 4.7" rollers carry it along the deck under load.

Sold individually: One jack lifts one axle. Order the quantity your shop actually works with rather than a fixed pair.

Daytona RAJ8 Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need one or two?

One jack lifts one axle. A single unit covers most brake and tire work, because you rarely need all four wheels off at once. Buy two if you routinely do four wheel jobs or suspension work at both ends. Two is the common configuration in a dedicated alignment shop.

Which Daytona jack fits my rack?

Match the jack to the rack, not to the vehicle. The RAJ8 is for the 12,000 and 14,000 lb alignment lifts. The RAJ12 is for the 24,000 lb LFPA24, and the RAJ5 is for the 9,000 and 10,000 lb parking lifts. Call us with your model number if you are unsure.

Why is an 8,000 lb jack right for a 14,000 lb lift?

Because a rolling jack lifts one axle, not the whole vehicle. Roughly half to two thirds of the rack's rated capacity is the correct match, and it keeps the jack from being the weak link when a loaded truck is on the runways.

What air supply does it need?

Ordinary shop air. There is no electrical connection at all, which is part of why a rolling jack is easy to add to an existing rack. If your bay has a compressor and a drop near the lift, you have what it needs.

Can I add it to a rack I already own?

Yes. A rolling jack is not an installed accessory. It sits on the runways and rolls into position, so there is nothing to bolt down and nothing to wire. Ordering with the lift only saves a second freight charge.

How does delivery work?

It ships as freight in a 46" x 26" x 14" crate weighing 400 lbs. Compact but dense, so a pallet jack and a level approach usually handles it. If it is going out with a lift, we can coordinate both onto the same delivery.

    • Normal maintenance, including cable adjustments, lubrication, inspections, and routine service.
    • On-site labor charges, service call fees, or safety inspection costs.

    • Equipment must be installed, operated, and maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions.
    • Failure to follow installation or operating instructions may void the warranty on the entire product.
    • Poor maintenance, including failure to complete required inspections or service, may also void warranty coverage.
  • Warranty Replacement Parts:

    • The customer is responsible for loading and unloading warranty replacement equipment.
  • Equipment Replacement:
    • If a covered defect cannot be resolved after available repair options have been exhausted, Daytona Automotive Equipment may replace the equipment with a new unit of equal value.
    • If the customer chooses an upgraded model, the customer may be responsible for paying the price difference.
  • Important Notes:
    • The validity of all warranty claims is determined by Daytona Automotive Equipment.
    • Equipment should be inspected upon delivery and before each use for damage, loose hardware, damaged components, or other conditions that could affect safe operation.
