Will a full-size or lifted truck fit on the NSS-8XLT?
This is the 8,000 lb Triumph built for exactly that: 180" runways (15" longer than the base NSS-8), a 99" drive-thru width, and 82" of rise. Crew cabs, long beds, and lifted trucks that won't fit standard 4-posts fit here -- as long as they're under 8,000 lbs. For 3/4-ton and heavier trucks, step up to the 11,000 lb Triumph NSS-11000.
How much floor space does it actually need?
Plan on 200" of bay depth and 112" of width. The lift body itself is 190" long, and the approach ramps add another 10" in front of it. Measuring off the 190" figure alone will leave you 10 inches short at the door.
Which 8,000 lb Triumph 4-post is right for me?
This XLT is the extra long and tall one -- maximum runway, rise, and clearance. The base NSS-8 is the standard-size all-rounder; the NSS-8 Classic is the short version for compact garages; the NSS8X-1 Easy Park includes liftgate delivery service; and the USA8000 is the American-made version.
How much ceiling height do I need?
The posts stand 94" (7'10") tall, so plan on a 100"+ ceiling to be comfortable. In return you get 79" of clearance under the runways at full rise -- enough to walk under, and enough to park a full-size SUV underneath while another vehicle stores on top.
Does the NSS-8XLT run on 110V power?
Yes -- it runs on 110V with a 30-amp breaker and comes with a power plug, so no 220V circuit is needed. If your garage needs a new 30-amp circuit, have a qualified electrician install it; the lift cycles to full height in about 40 seconds.
Can I add a jack for wheels-off work?
Yes. The Triumph SJ-35 rolling bridge jack (3,500 lb) rides between the runways and lifts one end of the vehicle for brake, tire, and suspension work -- add it in Optional Accessories above. The included jack tray also accepts a standard floor or bottle jack.
How does freight delivery work?

Shipping
- Freight shipping only within the lower 48 U.S. states.
- No liftgate service available for auto or motorcycle lifts.
- Customer is responsible for unloading the lift. Forklift, Bobcat, tractor, or similar equipment is required.
- If unable to unload at delivery site, shipment can be rerouted to the nearest freight terminal for pickup.
- Delivery occurs via a 48-foot semi-truck. No guaranteed delivery times, but most orders arrive within 3–14 business days.
- Customer must call the freight company to schedule delivery.
- All equipment must be inspected upon delivery. Report any visible damage or missing parts on the Bill of Lading.
- Missing motors or power units must be reported at the time of delivery.
- Any incorrect or missing parts must be reported within 14 days of receipt, or within 3 days for parts shipped separately.
Returns
- All Triumph lift sales are final once the equipment has shipped.
- Triumph lifts are not eligible for standard returns after shipment.
- Orders canceled after payment has been processed but before shipment may be subject to a 15% cancellation fee.
- If a shipped order is refused at delivery, the customer is responsible for round-trip freight charges and a 30% restocking fee.
- Used, installed, assembled, or altered equipment cannot be returned.
- Parts orders are final sale and are not eligible for return.
- Any missing, damaged, or incorrect items must be reported according to the delivery and warranty guidelines listed on this page.
- Warranty-related issues are handled through Triumph/National Auto Tools’ parts warranty process and are not considered standard returns.
Installation
- Installation must be performed by a certified electrician to avoid potential issues. Triumph is not liable for any damage or problems caused by unlicensed or improper installation.
- Electrical wiring diagrams will not be provided due to legal restrictions.
- If installation is not completed by a certified electrician, disputes will require an invoice and itemized report from a certified electrician for review.
- Installation does not include:
- Hydraulic oil
- Equipment training
- Equipment delivery
- Repair of shipping damage
- Regular maintenance, including cable adjustments, oil top-offs, and lubrication
- The installer is not required to:
- Complete installation if the site is unsafe or unprepared
- Make repeat visits due to lack of electricity or improper site conditions
- Perform any labor related to warranty service or maintenance
