Another 35 Inches in Front of the Ramp

Every so often a car turns up that will not load on anything. Coilovers on the bump stops, a splitter an inch off the deck, and a customer watching you decide whether to try it.

The BT-TT-7-EX-10 XTenders bolt the problem down by adding 35 inches of ramp in front of a 7 inch tow ramp. The first stage comes in at 4 degrees, so the nose is already climbing before it reaches the main ramp and never sees a hard break at the ground.

They also work upside down as a humper ramp when you need a small amount of lift somewhere else on the job. At 6 pounds each they are the easiest thing on the truck to carry.

Sold as a pair. 1,500 lbs per ramp, tires up to 12 inches. Pairs with the 74 inch tow ramps in either configuration.

Pair of Race Ramps BT-TT-7-EX-10 XTenders for 7 inch tow ramps

Benefits of the XTenders

Four degrees at the ground
The transition from pavement to ramp is where a splitter tears off. Starting the climb at 4 degrees instead of 5.2 moves that break further out and flattens it, which is the whole job.
Under two inches tall
At 1.9 inches at the tall end, it tucks under the nose of the tow ramp rather than creating a second step. The car reads it as one continuous surface all the way to the bed.
Doubles as a humper ramp
Flip it over and it becomes a low lift block for getting a wheel over a lip or up onto a curb. Two uses out of a part that weighs six pounds and lives in a side box.
Six pounds each
Twelve pounds for the pair. You can carry them and the tow ramps in one trip, which matters when you are working the shoulder and want to be off it quickly.
Solid foam, no hardware
Nothing clips, pins or bolts to the main ramp. High density foam with a traction coating that grips the pavement and will not gouge a bed or scuff a rocker if a wheel drifts off line.
Made in the USA
Race Ramps builds these in Michigan and backs them with a one year warranty against defects, plus a 30 day satisfaction guarantee through Pitstop Pro.

XTender Frequently Asked Questions

Do these work on their own?

Not as tow ramps. They are 1.9 inches tall, which is nowhere near enough to reach a rollback bed. They are an extension for the 7 inch tow ramps, or a low humper ramp when inverted.

How do they attach to the tow ramp?

They do not attach. The tall end of the XTender is shaped to sit under the nose of the tow ramp so the two overlap into one continuous slope. Set them in line, and the tire load holds the joint closed as the car crosses it.

Why is the capacity lower than the tow ramps?

1,500 lbs per XTender against 2,500 lbs for a tow ramp. There is far less foam in a 1.9 inch section than a 7 inch one. In practice the tire is only briefly on the XTender at the start of the climb, but treat 1,500 lbs per wheel as the limit.

How much total run do I end up with?

Somewhere around eight and a half feet per side. The 35 inch XTender and the 74 inch tow ramp overlap at the joint rather than sitting end to end, so the assembled run comes in under the 109 inches you get by adding them together. Measure your own setup once and work from that number.

What is a humper ramp?

A low ramp you put in front of a wheel to get it over a lip, a curb or a raised joint without the bumper hitting. Inverted, the XTender gives you a shallow rise for exactly that, which is useful on driveways with a steep apron.
