Race Ramps Trailer Side Kick Ramp, 13 Degree Approach | RR-TR-SK-1
Change a Trailer Tire Without a Jack
A flat on a tandem axle trailer on the side of a road is the worst place to be looking for a jacking point, on soft ground, with traffic going past.
The Trailer Side Kick solves it in the simplest way there is. Drive the good tire on the same side up onto the ramp and the flat tire beside it lifts clear of the ground. No jack, no jacking point, no crawling underneath.
It also does the job its name suggests, easing a vehicle up and over the lip at the back of a trailer so a low front end does not catch on the way in.
Sold individually. It is 31" long by 12" wide by 7.5" tall with a 13 degree approach, carries 1,500 lbs, weighs 8 lbs, and takes tires up to 10" wide. See all trailer ramps.

Trailer Side Kick Frequently Asked Questions
How does it lift the flat tire?
On a tandem axle trailer the two wheels on each side sit close together. Driving the good one up 7.5 inches tips the axle group enough that the tire beside it comes off the ground and can be removed.
Does it work on a single axle trailer?
No. The tire change trick needs a second wheel on the same side to drive up onto, so it only works on tandem or triple axle trailers. On a single axle you still need a jack.
Do I need one or two?
One handles a tire change, because you only lift one side. Buy a second if you want a pair for loading a vehicle onto the trailer, since both wheels on an axle need to climb together.
Is it safe to work beside the trailer?
Chock the wheels on the other side, keep the trailer coupled to the tow vehicle where possible, and never go underneath a trailer supported only by a ramp. Use jack stands for anything beyond a wheel swap.
Will my trailer tires fit?
Up to 10 inches of section width, which covers most common trailer tire sizes. Measure the widest tire on the trailer before ordering, and call us if you are running something unusual.
