Loading a low car into an enclosed trailer is the easy part. Then you are on your stomach on the trailer floor, feeling around a bumper you cannot see, trying to find a tie down point with three inches of air to work in.

Trailer-Mates sit inside the trailer and drive the car up 3 inches once it is in. Race Ramps built them so you can get the car tied down safely without scraping the front bumper on the way in and without lying flat to reach the anchors.

The Front pair has a 7 degree approach and a concave depression the tire settles into, which stops the car rolling in transit. The Rear pair has a 10.9 degree approach and is shaped to drive straight over.

Three inches sounds like nothing until you are working blind under a splitter. It is the difference between hooking a strap by feel and actually seeing what you are attaching it to.
The front pair holds the car put
A concave depression in the front platform cradles the tire so the car cannot creep forward or back over a long haul. The straps do the securing, but the shape means they are not fighting the car.
