Race Ramps 8 Inch Extra Wide Trailer Ramps, 16 Inch Deck | RR-TR-8
Two Extra Inches of Deck for Wide Tires
Every other trailer ramp in the Race Ramps line runs a 14 inch deck and tops out at a 12 inch tire. Put a 315 section drag radial or a wide off road tire on one and it hangs over the edge.
The RR-TR-8 is the answer to that. It runs a 16 inch wide deck rated for tires up to 14 inches, and it lifts a full 8 inches from a body of just 54.75 inches.
That compact length puts the approach at 8.7 degrees, the steepest in the trailer range. This is a ramp for muscle cars, pro touring builds and trucks running fat rubber, not for a car with a splitter an inch off the ground.
Sold as a pair. 1,500 lbs per ramp, 3,000 lbs per pair, and just 12 lbs each to carry. Compare the rest of the trailer ramps.

RR-TR-8 Frequently Asked Questions
Is 8.7 degrees too steep for my car?
It is the steepest approach in the trailer range, so it is not the ramp for a car with a low splitter or air dam. If ground clearance is your problem rather than tire width, the RR-TR-8XL gives the same 8 inches of lift at 6.3 degrees on a 74 inch body.
How do I measure my tire width?
Measure the tread across the ground, not the section width printed on the sidewall. A 315 section tire is roughly 12.4 inches of sidewall to sidewall but sits closer to 11 inches of actual tread. If the contact patch is under 14 inches, this ramp carries it.
Can I use these for service work as well?
They will hold a car at 8 inches on level ground, but they are shaped for bridging to a trailer deck. For oil changes and under car work, a purpose built Race Ramps service ramp is a better fit because it has a flat top platform sized for parking on.
Will a dually or a heavy truck fit?
A dual rear wheel setup is wider than 14 inches across both tires, so it is outside the rating. On weight, each ramp carries 1,500 lbs, meaning 3,000 lbs across one axle. Heavy trucks frequently exceed that per axle, so check your corner weights before ordering.
Do they mark a trailer floor?
No. Coated foam sits flat against plywood, aluminum or concrete with no frame, no fasteners and no sharp edges. Sweep the contact area before setting them down and the coating grips without scuffing.
