Seven Inches of Lift, Three Ways to End the Ramp
Seven inches is where most enclosed trailer decks sit once the gate is down. The RR-TR-7 covers that height across 74 inches of ramp, which keeps the approach at 5.5 degrees and gets a low car up without touching down.
What changes between the three versions is how the ramp meets the trailer. The Standard has a deep 2.5 inch notch for a conventional door. The Tilt Trailer version drops that to 1 inch so it sits flat against a tilting deck. The Flap Cut Out version adds a 16 inch wide relief in the underside so it clears a hinged dovetail flap, which brings its finished height to 6.25 inches.
Everything else stays the same. Same length, same angle, same 1,500 lb rating per ramp, same 15 pounds you can carry one handed.

Which version do I need?
Look at the end of your ramp gate when it is down. A plain flat edge takes the Standard. A deck that tilts down as one piece takes the Tilt Trailer version. A gate with a separate hinged flap folded out at the tip takes the Flap Cut Out version. Call us with a photo if you are not sure.
Why is the Flap Cut Out version 6.25 inches instead of 7?
The relief that clears the hinged flap is cut into the underside of the ramp, which takes three quarters of an inch out of the finished height. In practice the flap itself makes that up, since the ramp rests on top of it rather than on the deck.
Can I mix versions, one of each?
Each configuration ships as a matched pair, so a mixed set means buying two pairs. There is no reason to mix, though, because both sides of a trailer gate share the same profile.
Will these work without a trailer at all?
They will lift a car 7 inches on flat ground, but they are designed to bridge to a deck and the notch is cut for a door edge. For service work in a garage, look at the standard Race Ramps service ramps rather than the trailer line.
Do the ramps need to be tied down?
Not while loading. The notch locates them on the door and the traction coating stops them creeping. Once the car is in the trailer, store the ramps somewhere they cannot slide into the vehicle in transit.
