Race Ramps 24 Inch Trailer Step, 11 Inch Step Height | RR-TR-SP-24
The Step You Are Not Going to Turn an Ankle On: the Race Ramps 24" Trailer Step
Getting in and out of an enclosed trailer is a job you do twenty times before lunch. Most people manage it with a plastic milk crate or a folding aluminum step that flexes underfoot and slides on the ramp door. Both work fine right up until they do not.
This is a 24" wide by 16" deep platform at an 11" step height, rated to 1,500 lbs. It is wide enough to land a whole boot on without looking down, deep enough to stand on with both feet, and it does not fold, hinge, or wobble because there is nothing in it that moves.
Solid expanded foam with a traction coating means it weighs 14 lbs, grips a painted trailer floor or a gravel paddock, and will not dent the deck or rust. A carry strap is fitted, so it moves out of the way with one hand when the ramp door comes down.
Sold individually. Also useful as a general shop step for reaching high shelving. Browse all trailer steps, or see trailer ramps for loading.

Trailer Step Frequently Asked Questions
Which width should I get?
This 24 inch model is 11 inches tall, which suits most enclosed trailer door heights. Race Ramps also makes 30 and 36 inch versions at 8 inches tall, so if your deck sits lower or you want a wider landing, those are worth comparing. Call us and we will match it to your trailer.
Will it hold on gravel or grass?
Yes, and better than a folding metal step. A 24 by 16 inch base spreads the load rather than concentrating it on four small feet, so it does not sink or tip in a soft paddock.
Can I use it as a work step in the shop?
Plenty of people do. Eleven inches gets you over an engine bay or up to a high shelf, and the large platform means you are not balancing. It is a step rather than a ladder, so it is not a substitute for proper access equipment at height.
Is foam strong enough to stand on?
It is rated to 1,500 lbs, which is roughly seven adults. This is the same solid high density foam Race Ramps uses for ramps that carry cars. It does not compress underfoot, which is exactly what makes it feel more solid than a folding step.
Does it come as a pair?
Sold individually, one step per order. Most trailers need one at the side door. Order two if you want one at each door or one for the trailer and one for the shop.
