A 12,000 lb two post wants close to 13 and a half feet of bay width once you account for the columns, and in a standard bay that leaves a technician squeezing past a mirror every time they walk the car. The capacity never gets used, the footprint gets used every single day, and the money went to the wrong spec.
The Daytona LTPA10 is sized for the bay most shops actually have. Overall footprint runs 126.8" to 138.6" depending on which of the three width settings you install it at, which is nearly two feet narrower than the 12,000 lb model at its widest. You still get 10,000 lbs, 70.9" of lifting height, and up to 100.4" of drive-thru clearance, which covers every passenger car, SUV, and half-ton to one-ton single-rear-wheel pickup that comes through the door.
Underneath it is the same engineering as the bigger Daytona overheads: dual direct drive hydraulic cylinders with cable equalization, automatic safety locks with single-point release, an overhead height limit switch, and polymer slide blocks in the columns. Three-stage front arms reach 21.6" to 44.3", rear arms 31.5" to 49.2", and truck adapters, screw-up pads, and rubber door guards are all in the crate. It runs on 240V single phase at 3 HP and 13 amps.

• Three adjustable width settings: Overall floor width of 126.8", 132.7", or 138.6", with the columns spaced 100.8" to 112.6" apart and drive-thru clearance from 88.6" to 100.4". Set at installation and adjustable afterward.
• 10,000 lb lifting capacity: Lifting range runs from a 4.5" minimum pad height to 70.9" at full travel. Front arms are three-stage reaching 21.6" to 44.3", rear arms reach 31.5" to 49.2".
• Dual direct drive with cable equalization: Six foot hydraulic cylinders, one per column, driving each carriage directly. Equalization cables keep the two sides synchronized through the full travel, and polymer slide blocks carry the carriage inside the column.
• Automatic safety locks, single-point release: Locks engage automatically as the carriage rises and release from one handle. An overhead height limit switch and protective door guards complete the safety package.
• 141.6" overall height: Overhead clearance under the beam measures 134.2". The posts themselves are 9.1" wide, the base plate is 0.6" thick, and the column base is 15.7" by 19.5".
• Optional two-foot height extension kit: The LTPA10-EXT raises the overhead bar for taller vans and lifted trucks. The kit weighs 165 lbs and is sold separately.

Daytona LTPA10 Frequently Asked Questions
Is 10,000 lbs enough for my shop?
For most general repair work, yes. Ten thousand pounds covers every passenger car, SUV, minivan, and half-ton through one-ton single-rear-wheel pickup. An F-350 crew cab diesel curbs around 8,000 lbs, comfortably inside capacity. You need more only if dual rear wheel trucks, box trucks, or loaded commercial upfits are regular work, and then the 12,000 lb LTPA12 is the move.
Which width setting should I install it at?
Narrow puts the total footprint at 126.8" with 88.6" of drive-thru, wide takes it to 138.6" with 100.4". If your bay is tight or you want room to walk around a car with the doors open, go narrow. If full-size trucks are the daily driver of your business, go wide. Call us with your bay width and the widest vehicle you service.
How is this different from the BR10-2OH-33?
Both are 10,000 lb adjustable-width direct drive overhead lifts from Daytona, and they are close on paper. The difference that matters is that the BR10-2OH-33 is ALI Certified, which some fleet contracts, insurers, and inspection programs require. The LTPA10 is the narrower and less expensive of the two. If nobody is asking you for certification paperwork, the LTPA10 saves you money and bay space.
How much ceiling height do I need?
The lift stands 141.6" to the top of the overhead bar with 134.2" of clearance under the beam, so plan on a 12'-3" ceiling measured to the lowest obstruction, not the peak. If your bay is under 12 feet, the LTPF12 floorplate lift works at 114.0" tall. If you have extra height and service tall vans, the optional LTPA10-EXT kit adds two feet.
Will it get under a lowered car?
Minimum pad height is 4.5", which is low enough for most sports cars and mildly lowered vehicles. For anything sitting on coilovers at the bottom of the range, measure your pinch weld height first and call us. Screw-up pads are included, and the three-stage front arms reaching down to 21.6" help on short wheelbase cars.
What concrete does it need?
Plan on a minimum of 8" of concrete at 3,000 PSI compressive strength, cured, level within 3/8" across the installation area, with no anchor placed within 6" of a crack, edge, or expansion joint. If your slab does not qualify, a pad can be poured to accommodate the lift. Check with your local building inspector about permits. Verifying concrete is the customer's responsibility, and installing on an inadequate slab is genuinely dangerous.
How does delivery work?
The LTPA10 ships as freight on two pallets: the lift at 145" x 30" x 26" and 1,700 lbs, and the power unit at 31" x 12" x 11" and 60 lbs. At 1,760 lbs total it is the lightest lift in the Daytona two post range, which makes install day easier. Curbside freight delivery and warehouse pickup are both available.
What is the warranty?
Daytona covers this lift 5-2-1: five years structural, two years on electrical components, cylinders, and seal kits, and one year on defective parts. Daytona has served shops in the United States and Canada since 1999 and stocks parts in regional warehouses.
