The Stance Trick Every Show Car Uses

On a show floor every car is at the same height and the eye slides straight past most of them. Lift one end a few inches and the car reads differently from across the hall, because the stance changes and the wheels and underside come into view.

The Show Ramps give 4.75 inches of lift on a compact 26 inch body. Put them under the front, the rear, or one side, and the car sits with intent instead of just being parked.

Each ramp weighs 5 lbs, carries 1,500 lbs, and takes tires up to 12 inches. Approach is 25 degrees, the steepest in the range, which is what keeps the footprint down to something you can carry into a hall.

Sold in pairs. For a full display lift see the 12 inch Show Cribs. See all car ramps.

Race Ramps RR-SR Show Ramps, pair

Benefits of the Show Ramps

It changes the stance
Under five inches is enough to give a car a rake it does not have on the ground, and to open up the wheels and arches to a camera at eye level. That is the whole job.
5 lbs, and 26 inches long
A pair goes under one arm through a crowded hall, and hides behind the tire once the car is on. Nobody has ever wanted to carry a heavy ramp across a convention floor.
Black foam disappears
Matte black under a dark tire reads as shadow under show lighting. A steel ramp or a stack of blocks catches the light and pulls attention away from the car.
Front, rear, or one side
One pair covers whichever end you want raised, and turning the car side on with one side lifted is a look some builders use to show off a chassis or an exhaust.
Nothing that marks a show floor
No steel to scratch polished concrete, gouge carpet, or leave a mark on a venue floor you are responsible for. The traction coating also stops it sliding on carpet.
1,500 lbs per ramp
The same rating as the service ramps, on a 5 lb block. It holds a heavy classic all weekend without settling. Made in the USA with a one year warranty.

Show Ramp Frequently Asked Questions

Will a low car clear a 25 degree approach?

This is the steepest ramp Race Ramps make, so a slammed car with a splitter will not drive up it. Most show cars are jacked and set down onto them instead, which is the usual method anyway. If you want to drive on, use a longer service ramp.

Show Ramps or Show Cribs?

These lift 4.75 inches and are subtle. The Show Cribs lift 12 inches and make a real statement, with the whole underside on display. Ramps for stance, cribs for a full display build.

Can I leave the car on them all weekend?

Yes. Foam does not settle or bleed down the way a jack does, so the car sits at the same height on Sunday afternoon as it did on Friday night. That is a real advantage over stands at a multi day show.

Can I work on the car while it is up?

No. These are display ramps. Never go under a vehicle supported only by ramps, and always use jack stands for any work underneath.

Do I need one pair or two?

One pair raises one end, which is what most people want for a rake. Two pairs lift the car level on all four wheels, which suits a build where the whole underside is the point.
