The failure mode with any ramp in front of a lift is the same. The tire loads the incline, the ramp creeps forward, and the gap opens between the ramp and the runway at exactly the moment you do not want it to.
These end in a 3 inch hook connector instead of a flat face. The hook engages rather than butting up, so the ramp holds its position against the runway through the climb.
Three sizes. 4 inch lift over 34 inches at 8 degrees, 5 inch lift over 48 inches at 6.4 degrees, and an extra wide 5 inch on a 20 inch deck that takes tires up to 18 inches. The 6.4 degree versions are the shallowest rack ramps Race Ramps makes.

Hook Nose Frequently Asked Questions
Which size do I need?
Start with the height of your runway. Four inches or five is the first decision and it is not a preference, it is whatever your lift actually measures. After that, take the 20 inch wide version only if your tires exceed 12 inches. Call us with the lift model and we will confirm it.
Why is the 4 inch steeper than the 5 inch?
Because it is much shorter. The 4 inch is 34 inches long and climbs at 8 degrees. The 5 inch is 48 inches and climbs at 6.4. More length beats less height when the question is whether the nose of the car clears.
How does the hook attach?
Nothing bolts or clips. The hook is a shaped 3 inch section at the top of the ramp that engages the runway so the ramp cannot creep forward as the tire climbs. Set the ramps in line with the wheels and seat the hook before driving on.
Do I need the extra wide version?
Only for tires over 12 inches. It is the same 5 inch lift and the same 6.4 degree approach as the standard 5 inch, on a 20 inch deck rated to 18 inch tires. If nothing in the shop runs that wide, the narrower one does the same job for less.
Can one pair cover several lifts?
If the runways are the same height, yes, and at these weights carrying a pair between bays is trivial. Different runway heights need different ramps, because the hook has to meet the deck rather than sit above or below it.
