Race Ramps 8 Inch Extra Long Trailer Ramps, 6.3 Degree Approach | RR-TR-8XL
Eight Inches of Lift Spread Over Six Feet
Eight inches is a tall deck. Getting a low car up that far usually means a steep ramp and a held breath, or a stack of two by fours and a spotter waving you forward an inch at a time.
The RR-TR-8XL takes the same 8 inch lift as the extra wide RR-TR-8 and stretches it across 74 inches. The approach drops to 6.3 degrees, which is shallow enough that most lowered street cars and track cars walk straight up it.
This is the pick when your trailer sits high and the car sits low. Nothing else in the range combines that much height with that gentle an angle.
Sold as a pair. 1,500 lbs per ramp, 3,000 lbs per pair, 14 lbs each, for tires up to 12 inches. Compare the full range of trailer ramps.

RR-TR-8XL Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the RR-TR-8?
Same 8 inch lift, different priorities. The RR-TR-8 is 54.75 inches long on a 16 inch deck for tires up to 14 inches, and climbs at 8.7 degrees. The XL is 74 inches on a 14 inch deck for tires up to 12 inches, and climbs at 6.3 degrees. Wide tires point to the RR-TR-8, low bodywork points to the XL.
Should I get this or the RR-TR-7?
Both are 74 inches long. The RR-TR-7 lifts 7 inches at 5.5 degrees, the XL lifts 8 inches at 6.3. Measure the gap you actually need to bridge. If 7 inches covers it, the shallower ramp is the easier load.
Do these have the trailer door notch?
The trailer end is shaped to meet a deck or ramp gate rather than butt against it flat. Give us a call with your gate profile if you want to confirm the fit before ordering, and we will check it against the drawing.
Where do I store a six foot ramp?
A pair stacks into a slot roughly 74 by 14 by 16 inches and weighs 28 lbs together. Most people stand them on edge against a trailer wall or slide them under the car once it is loaded and strapped.
Will they hold up to repeated use?
The foam recovers rather than deforming, which is why these last through years of weekends. Keep grit off the coated surface, avoid dragging them across gravel, and store them out of direct sun and they hold up well.
