About Katool Tire Equipment · Authorized Dealer

Tire service equipment for every shop size and budget

Katool builds the broadest tire service equipment lineup in the value-tier market. Their catalog covers everything from the entry-level KT-T800 wheel-clamp tire changer for home garages and small shops, through the tilt-arm KT-T850 and tilt-arm KT-T855 for busy independent bays, all the way up to the heavy-duty KT-T160 and KT-TV910 truck tire changers for commercial fleet service.

The wheel balancer side covers the same range: the KT-B700 entry balancer, the KT-B760 and KT-B750 mid-tier units that handle most car and light-truck wheels, and the KT-B795L truck-and-car balancer for shops servicing heavier rolling stock. Plus motorcycle adapters for the KT-MC1 (changer) and KT-MC2 (balancer) when you need to service bikes alongside cars.

The reason we feature the combos so prominently: bundling a tire changer and wheel balancer from the same brand saves real money over buying them separately, and Katool's combo packages typically come in $200-500 below their list-price sum. If you're outfitting a new bay or upgrading both pieces at once, the combo route is almost always the smarter buy.

Katool Tire Equipment FAQs

The most common questions our tire equipment specialists get about Katool.

Are Katool tire changers any good?

Yes - for the price band, Katool tire changers are genuinely good and one of our most-recommended value-tier picks. Build quality includes heavy-gauge steel turntables, hardened bead-breaker shoes, and pneumatic clamping systems that hold tightly without scratching alloy rims. The wheel-clamp models (KT-T800, T830, T835) cover most car and light-truck work; tilt-arm models (KT-T850, T855) handle low-profile and run-flat tires; the heavy-duty KT-T160 and KT-TV910 step up to truck and fleet service.

The trade-off vs. premium brands like Hunter or Coats is brand recognition and dealer network - Katool isn't a 30-year-old US heritage name. But on capability per dollar, they're hard to beat. Read our full tire changer buying guide for the broader category overview.

Katool tire balancer reviews: how do they hold up?

The most common feedback we hear on Katool wheel balancers (KT-B700, KT-B750, KT-B760, KT-B795L) is that they spin smooth and quiet, the auto-input distance/diameter sensors are accurate, and the LED displays read cleanly even in fluorescent shop lighting. The KT-B760 is our most-installed model because it hits the sweet spot of capability and price for car and light-truck wheels.

Honest critique: the included rim cones cover most passenger and light-truck applications but you'll want to budget for a few aftermarket cones if you service oddball wheel sizes regularly. Read the full wheel balancer buying guide for category-wide spec comparisons.

How much do I save buying a Katool combo vs. separate units?

Typically $200-500 depending on the combo. The KT-T800 + KT-B760 combo is $1,899 vs. $2,398 if bought separately ($499 saved). The KT-T830 + KT-B760 combo is $2,599 vs. $2,898 separately ($299 saved). The heavy-duty KT-T160 + KT-B795L combo is $5,999 vs. $6,689 separately ($690 saved).

If you're buying both pieces anyway, the combo route is almost always the smarter buy. The only reason to buy separately is if you already own one piece and just need to add the other.

Do Katool tire changers come with installation?

The product itself ships ready to set up - most models are plug-and-play with standard 110V power and shop air. Physical install (positioning, anchoring, leveling) is usually a 1-2 hour job for one or two people with basic tools. No specialized electrical work required.

If you'd rather have a professional handle the install, submit your address through our installer locator and we'll send you a list of qualified local technicians within one business day.

Do you stock Katool tire changer and balancer parts?

Yes - we keep Katool replacement parts (jaws, bead-breaker shoes, sensor pins, drive belts, calibration weights, plastic protectors) stocked in our US warehouses. When something needs replacing, you call (470) 208-2754 and we ship from domestic inventory - no waiting weeks for a container from overseas.

What size Katool tire changer do I need?

Match the changer to your typical wheel diameter and shop volume:

Home garage / low-volume shop: KT-T800 wheel-clamp (10-21" rims) at $1,199. Mid-volume independent shop: KT-T830 (10-22" rims) at $1,699 or KT-T835 (similar capacity, premium build) at $1,899. High-volume / performance tire shop: KT-T850 tilt-arm at $2,699 or KT-T855 vertical-press at $3,499 for run-flats and low-profiles. Truck and fleet shop: KT-T160 ($4,399), KT-T900 center-post ($4,699), or KT-TV910 hydraulic truck changer ($6,299).

For sizing guidance specific to your bay setup, see the full tire changer buying guide.

What size Katool wheel balancer do I need?

Cars and light SUVs only: KT-B700 ($1,049) or KT-B760 ($1,199) cover 10-24" rims for passenger and light-truck work. Higher-volume car/light-truck shops: KT-B750 ($1,490) for faster spin cycle and bigger display. Trucks plus cars: KT-B795L ($2,290) handles passenger wheels through 1-ton truck wheels up to 26.5" rim diameter.

Most shops should match the balancer tier to the changer tier - if you're buying a KT-T830, the KT-B760 is the right balancer companion. See the full wheel balancer buying guide for spec-by-spec sizing.

What's the warranty on Katool tire equipment?

Every Katool tire changer, wheel balancer, and combo sold by Pitstop Pro comes with the full manufacturer warranty covering structural, motor, and major components. We're an authorized Katool dealer, so you get the actual factory coverage - not a watered-down third-party version.

You also get our lifetime phone support at (470) 208-2754 for install help, troubleshooting, or parts questions, regardless of how long you've owned the equipment.

Can I service motorcycle tires with a Katool changer?

Yes, with the right adapter. Katool sells a motorcycle adapter kit for the wheel-clamp tire changers - the KT-MC1 ($129) attaches to the changer's clamps and lets you safely mount and dismount motorcycle tires without scratching the rim. There's also a KT-MC2 ($199) motorcycle adapter for the wheel balancers if you balance bike wheels regularly.

Katool also makes a dedicated mini tire changer (search "katool mini tire changer" in our catalog) if motorcycles are your primary use case rather than an occasional add-on.

How does Katool tire equipment compare to Triumph?

Two different positions in our tire equipment catalog. Katool has the deepest selection by far - 9 tire changer models, 4 wheel balancers, and 15 pre-bundled combo packages, ranging from the entry-level KT-T800 ($1,199) up to the heavy-duty truck KT-TV910 ($6,299). Triumph has a much smaller tire equipment lineup focused on the NTC-950 changer family and a few balancer models.

For most independent shops, Katool offers the best combination of selection, pricing, and combo savings. We don't currently carry tire equipment from AMGO, BendPak, or other heavy-commercial brands - those names are lift-focused in our catalog.
