Phoenix Max Brings Pro-Level Communication For Deeper Diagnostics In-House

When you’re diagnosing newer vehicles, the biggest time killer is not the scan itself, it’s chasing the wrong direction because your tool cannot clearly show what’s connected, what’s offline, and what’s actually causing the fault. Add in security gateways and faster network protocols, and basic tablets start to feel like guesswork. Phoenix Max is built for techs who want a clearer diagnostic picture, faster confirmation, and fewer jobs that get pushed out to a dealer or specialist.

Phoenix Max centers everything around a large 13.3 inch screen so you can work faster without constantly flipping screens, zooming, or missing key network relationships. It supports full-system diagnostics, active tests, live data, AutoVIN, and topology mapping, which helps you see vehicle systems and their status in one view. This workflow is ideal for stacked faults, module communication issues, and late-model vehicles where the problem is rarely isolated to one system.

At the core is the Phoenix MDCI Pro, which brings broad protocol coverage and makes the platform more capable for modern vehicles and advanced workflows. With support for J2534, DoIP, CAN FD, D-PDU, and RP1210, Phoenix Max is designed for deeper diagnostics and professional-level communication. If you want one tablet that can scale with your workload and reduce outsourcing, this platform is built for that.

Warranty

Warranty

  • Warranty Range:
    • TOPDON warranty coverage ranges from 1 to 2 years, depending on the product.
  • Where To Find Your Exact Warranty:
    • The warranty for your specific model will be listed at the bottom of the specification table on the product page.
  • Subscription-Based Warranty Option:
    • Some TOPDON products may include a subscription-based warranty option, where coverage may extend beyond the initial term as long as the customer maintains an active subscription.
  • Warranty Coverage:
    • Covers defects in materials and workmanship for the original end-user during the valid warranty period.
    • If covered, TOPDON will repair or replace the product at its discretion.
    • Replacement units may be new or refurbished, and refurbished tools are tested to be functionally equivalent to new.
    • Warranty coverage applies to device failure resulting from a defect, not normal wear or external damage.
  • What The Warranty Does Not Cover:
    • Any damage from accident, abuse, misuse, or natural disasters.
    • Physical damage including cracked screens, broken housings, liquid damage, or chemical exposure.
    • Issues caused by insufficient or excessive electrical supply, or abnormal mechanical or environmental conditions.
    • Unauthorized disassembly, repair, or modification. Disassembly of any kind voids the limited warranty.
    • Consumable parts (including batteries and protective coatings) that naturally wear over time, unless failure is due to defects in materials or workmanship.
    • Products not used according to accompanying instructions or intended use.
    • Products with an altered or removed identification number, or products reported as stolen.
    • Damages or losses of any kind resulting from the use or misuse of the product.
  • Service Procedure (RMA Required):
    • An RMA number is required before sending any tool to TOPDON for service.
    • The end-user is responsible for shipping and insurance to TOPDON’s RMA department.
    • Tools must be properly packaged to prevent transit damage, and you should send only the parts requested by TOPDON support.
    • TOPDON covers return shipping for the repaired or replacement tool with the same delivery speed used to send it in.
    • The RMA number must be displayed on the outside of the package or it may be returned unopened.
  • Loaner / Refurbished Tool Program:
    • TOPDON may offer a refurbished loaner tool of an equal or better platform while your tool is being repaired.
    • A credit card deposit for the device’s retail value is required before a loaner can ship.
    • After repair, you may be able to keep the refurbished unit as a replacement and have the deposit refunded, or return the loaner and receive your original tool back.
    • Deposit is released once the refurbished unit is returned or an exchange agreement is made. TOPDON may decline refurbishment at its discretion.
  • Important Notes:
    • Only TOPDON authorized personnel should service TOPDON tools.
